Pre-Competition Swim Program at YJCC

For children not yet ready to participate on a swim team, the Bergen County YJCC offers a pre-competition program. The pre-competition program is an ideal transition from learning to competing. The sessions run more like a practice than a swim lesson to help swimmers perfect the strokes needed to compete.  In addition, swimmers practice starts, turns and other competitive moves.

Two sessions are being offered: Sundays, February 5 through April 1, 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm or Wednesdays, February 8 through April 4, 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm. Children may attend one or two days a week. Fees for one day a week are $128 for YJCC members and $184 for non-members, or both days for $224 for YJCC members and $288 for non-members. Placement tests will be held on Sunday, January 29 from 11:00 am to noon and on Monday, January 30 from 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm.
