Veggiecation Program (www.veggiecation.com) and Whole Foods Market at select locations in northern New Jersey are getting kids prepped for a healthy summer with kids culinary classes. Young students will prepare Jicama Sticks with Strawberry Dip and Kidney Beans with Honey Mustard, Scallions and Celery.
Kids will take home complimentary Veggiecation character coloring pages, word games, mazes and stickers. Parents will receive a copy of recipes created that day.
A curriculum based nutrition education concept, Veggiecation Program’s success with kids lies in the engaging activities that empower children with their food choices while demonstrating that eating vegetables is fun and delicious. From New York to California, Veggiecation Program is in place in classrooms throughout the country. Veggiecation Program also offers programs for individual purchase for use at home and after school activities.
Veggiecation Program cooking classes at Whole Foods Market are free and open to the public. Preregistration is required as seating is limited.
